Babies R Us photo shoot

We got a free photo shoot today at Babies R Us. I don't really know why. I was waiting for the other shoe to drop and have them try to convince me to buy a photo package, but nope, we got these 8x10's for free. An employee pulled me out of line and told me the were doing a promotion. So there you go.

4 months old today!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finn is four months old today. It's such a fun age. He is my biggest fan and could spend hours/days just being on me in some way, shape or form. He is totally fasinated with Todd and could watch him play piano or just talk on the phone and be perfectly happy. Now if Todd could just get that nursing thing down . . . we'd be in buisness. He's 15.5 pounds and has a huge head, which I didn't even know until I saw him with other babies his age. More brain I guess. He goes to work with me for a few hours every day and then spends the other half of the day with daddy. We're not sure how we're making this work . . .but so far so good.

Finn and Mommy - September 08'

Quick Virginia trip

We were in and out of Virginia pretty quickly. Here are some highlights.

Too bad he's not adored by my family

Grandpa

Aunt Lizzi
Grandma
Uncle Michael

And after Uncle Peter gets to him, he comes away with an extra eyeball on his head.
I took him on a moonbounce - just Finn and I.

He loved it!

More Grandpa time.

His new bouncer/activity center (that I put together ALL BY MYSELF - thank you very much)

He sooo wants to sit up on his own. Work those abs Finney.

This looks like one of those huge oversized chairs at the fairs that you take pictures in.

Be afraid Finn, be very afraid.

The Adventures of Finn and Marlowe

Finn and Marlowe. Doesn't that sound like a comic book? The Adventures of Finn and Marlowe. We went to Central Park on Sunday and met our friends Chris and Erica's little girl Marlowe. She is CRAZY beautiful with big Angelina Jolie lips and long eyelashes. She's two weeks younger than Finney. Sooo cute.

Miss Marlowe. Is she a cutie or what?

tummy time push ups

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZkBhHwS3uA

Umm. . . . are you kidding me?

I took Finn for a walk all the way down town yesterday. Down to the Staten Island Ferry.

So down in the financial district, along the water front, I saw a statue. The name of the statue was "Eyes"

Eyes my ass!

Are you kidding me with this?

Bath time

I gave Finn a bath in a new way today. We've tried baths in all different configurations. We usually use one of those infants bathtubs in the kitchen sink, but he really is getting too big for it. My friend Chris gave use this foam bath buddy thing. I honestly forgot I had it until the other day. I put Finn in the bath tub on the foam and filled the bath up about five inches or so. For a minute there he did not know if he liked it or not - but after about two minutes he was WAY into it. Splashing all over the place. I'm telling you, he's awfully cute.

I remember my first bottle

Drunk again

Tummy Time (sung to the tune of Funky Town)

After three months of really hating to be put on his stomach, he's finally kinda in to "tummy time". We've been going to a development class at Real Birth where he does a lot of playing on his tummy and he's definitely digging it. He really likes watching other babies. However, he grunts like a sumo wrestler to the point where people are looking and then chuckling at him. He sounds like he's trying to climb Mount Everest. And don't even get me started and the mommy and baby "dance and singing" part of the class. I have officially never felt so idiotic in my entire life. Anything for the heir though. Anything for the heir. And by the way . . .when did they change all the nursery rhymes and why am I the only one that does not know the words to said songs? I was just making it up as I went along. At one point the "teacher" said. "Babies want to hear their Mommy's voice - so sing ladies" Really? Then sing the friggen' Itsy Bitsy Spider and not Bubbles, Bubbles as I Dance? What the hell is that? Stupid.
