Last Exit - Brooklyn, NY

Since Shannon has been here, I have been trying to take every chance we can to see her and Eliza. So today between my matinee and evening show I went out to Brooklyn to see them at their old haunt Last Exit. And of course, Finn was such a trouper.

International Sword Swallowing Day

Todd took Finn to Ripley's in Times Square to be part the International Sword Swallowing Day.

I believe we are getting more pictures soon. And of course, when we do, I will post them.

Brooklyn Children's Museum 2-27-09

Shannon and Eliza have been in town and we've been able to hang out a few times. Friday we went to the Brooklyn Children's Museum and it was fabulous. Perfect. Perfect. Todd read to Finn in the "reading room"
Eliza and Shannon played peekaboo with us
We then moved over to the foam blocks section
We spent most of our time in the "baby" section of the toddler part of the museum Finn took a short nap in the bjorn and then went right back to daddy Next stop was the music section
There were lots of "musical instruments" for the baby's to bang on
And Todd was more than happy to show them how it's done
Pilot Finn

I did a puppet show for Finn and Eliza (it's no Bob Brown Puppets . . . .but hey . . .)

The last stop in the baby section was this water adventure. It was by far Finn's favorite
BFF's

Really. He REALLY loves water
Shannon tried to entertain them by doing a Chinese Dragon Dance. Not so much.
We ended the day by watching turtles and fish.
Eliza was way more excited about the kids on the other side of the tank and Finn was just wanting Mommy.

9 months old today!!!!!!

He's been on the outside for as long as he was on the inside. This past month he is really in to trying new things but has also become incredibly clingy to me. At this point I think he looks like a 50/50 combination of Todd and I. He and Todd are the best of friends. Finn gets a huge grin on his face the second Todd walks in to the room.

His new thing this month is books. He doesn't seem to care (yet) if I actually read the book or not, he just wants to open and close it and turn the pages 11o times.
He hardly ever eats baby food now. We've experimented with just about everything. Avocado holds the most success record. And yogurt. I let him feed himself for as long as I can stand it and then I do the full wipe down and take over. Since he has learned how to put food into his mouth on his own . . . . ., he has also learned to take it out - which is very, very, very, very, very messy.
He adores the bath and would stay in there for hours if he could
He is Elmo's biggest fan right now. This is him watching Sesame Street in the morning

Loving the warm weather

It was 60 degrees this weekend and we LOVED it.

Train

Finn and I traveled to Virginia this weekend. I really need to schedule our travel time around his nap time. I spent most of the trip trying to entertain him. He fell asleep for about 15 minutes. All in all, he was a total trouper.
